Shot list (second filming)

Actor

We decided to go for just the one actor in our film as we felt that we didn't need any dialogue so just having the one character would reduce the risk of needing to talk, the actor that we will be using is one of the group members friends, we decided to go with someone who was not  in the group because we thought it would be easier for the whole group to be behind the camera so we could see what worked and what didn't, this was a problem when we first filmed as we had two members from the group filming and then two in the film and what looked good the the people filming didn't for the people in the film.  

How will the audience research affect the production?

We will take into account the results of the questionnaire and then try and apply them if needed and in the correct places E.G. one of the things that was suggested would be to add tense music in places that it is needed so when the girl enters a new place the music would get louder and start to pick up in pace as we don't know where she is or what may happen to her.

analysis of the Questionnaires

The people that I asked to fill in  the questionnaire were ages between 10-19 and 40+, i feel this gave me a good age range as I was getting opinions from both younger and older people.

What do you expect from a thriller:
The majority of the people I asked said they expected plot twists in a thriller so the main plot wouldn't become to obvious











In what way would the opening of a thriller make you want to watch more:

generally people said that if the film has a good plot and intense music it would make them want to watch more








What things should we NOT include in our opening:
the thing that came up the most for this question was chase scenes as people thought that they were to cheesy most of the time








Do you think 2 minutes is enough to make you watch more of the film:
this question came back as a no, they said that 5 minutes would be a more convincing time












What music would you link to a thriller film:
the answer to this came back as dramatic and tense the reason for this was it was more convincing as a thriller is the music was of this genre.

When one MI6 hard disc with the identities of NATO's agents is stolen, James Bond chases the agent through Istanbul with the support of the local field agent Eve. M (Judi Dench) orders Eve to shoot the agent on the top of a train, but she misses the target and hits 007 that falls in a river and is presumed dead. When M's computer is hacked, the MI6 building is blown-up and the agency moves to an ancient bunker that belonged to Churchill. Then, five MI6 agents have 

their identities exposed and three of them are executed and M has her authority and procedure questioned by her superior Gareth Mallory. Out of the blue, 007 reappear’s from the shadows and hunts down the responsible for the theft of the HD. He reaches Severine and uses her to find the responsible for the actions, the former top-notch MI6 agent Tiago Rodriguez, a.k.a. Silva, who had been betrayed by M and now is seeking out revenge against the veteran leader of the MI6.

                                                                                        

This is a storyboard from Skyfall which states what camera shots and angles are used during a section of the film E.G. in shot A we can see that they have used an extreme low angle from the body as bond slowly approaches, this creates tension to the scene as what we assume to be the villain doesn't know 

that he is being watched.

Lighting

As we are filming outside we didn’t find it necessary to include any lighting, also the fact that it is quite a gloomy will make the film look more like a thriller as location is more dark and rainy, also the fact that we are filming outside would make it very difficult to bring any lighting equipment with us and be able to power it as there is no electrical sockets that we could plug the lighting into, the only possibility for lighting would be from a candle or a torch.

The pitch

We got some good response to our pitch and we also got some help with our ideas in ways we could improve them and which idea we should progress with< the idea we were originally going to go with was idea 1 but after delivering the pitch and with the feedback we got we all decided that idea 3 was the best idea to go ahead with we were all very happy to listen to the feedback from the class as it helped us to see the good and bad points in all 3 of our ideas and which idea was best to progress with.
